This year we have decided to change part of our 4th Annual, Heroes Christmas event at the Arizona Veteran Home, (December 11th) as other groups will be gathering personal gifts (socks, DVD’s, shirts, candles, shoes, pictures, games, etc) throughout the holiday season to give to the Vets.
We will provide each resident of the facility with a card and a small gift, and the remainder of our funds will go towards providing cash donations to specific areas at the facility such as; the Bingo Fund, helping sponsor special events, paying for large print magazine subscriptions, and for those that don’t have financial support from family, adding to their personal account so they can purchase items at the facility. In addition to this, we will also be visiting each resident in their rooms and end with a party for all residents, staff and RidersUSA members. Entertainment will be provided by the “Soul Survivors”. Brad Zinn, of Zinn Comedy will be our Master of Ceremonies for the event which starts at 2:30 on the 11th. Staging and details for the event will follow in a separate email.
The distribution of donations we receive for this event will be posted on our website for transparency reasons. Every penny we receive for this event will be used for the sole purpose of the Christmas Party.
